After reading the articles from class wiki and completing the first two tasks, I began to understand what educational technology is and some theories related to it.
In my opinion, educational technology as an advanced teaching method and concept is more and more favored by teachers and students, and has played a positive role in promoting education and teaching. At present, the combination of information technology and teaching is most widely used in the field of education for distance education and multimedia assisted instruction.
Multimedia assisted instruction integrating text, sound, image, animation effect, video and audio files and other media breaks through the traditional teaching mode and the blackboard with chalk. It gives full play to its own characteristics, with its vivid images, vivid color, vivid image, and sound effect stimulate students’ activeness and enthusiasm. What’s more, it can mobilize students’ visual, listening and speaking senses and achieve the effect of combining education with pleasure and getting twice the result with half the effort.
